Terms of service
Last updated:
Sableley is provided by Everstack Ltd. These terms explain what you can expect from us and what we ask of you. Our company details and contact address are at the bottom of this page.
Your account and trial
You must be at least 18 to hold an account. One account and one trial are allowed per person. Keep your sign-in methods secure and do not share your account.
Your account starts with a 14-day trial of Sableley Pro's features, including the connected repo and agent access, with 100 MB of picture storage. No card is required. Completing checkout unlocks your chosen plan's picture allowance; your first charge is due when the trial ends.
Plans, payment and cancellation
Sableley costs GBP 5 a month or GBP 50 a year. Sableley Pro costs GBP 10 a month or GBP 100 a year. Yearly plans give you twelve months for the price of ten. VAT is included. Checkout also offers USD and EUR at the same numbers and shows the currency and total before you pay. Subscriptions renew automatically monthly or yearly until cancelled.
Both plans include boards, sync across your devices, XMind import and export. Sableley includes 1 GB of pictures; Pro includes 5 GB, a connected repo and access for agents through that repo. Boards, nodes and devices have no set limit. If your picture allowance is full, you cannot add more pictures, but you can keep writing.
Manage your plan, payment card, receipts and cancellation through "Subscription and receipts" in account settings. Cancelling stops the next renewal and you keep access until the end of the time you have paid for. Downgrading from Pro disconnects your repo and reduces your picture allowance to 1 GB; it does not delete your existing pictures.
At checkout you request immediate service: "Sableley starts now; you can cancel within 14 days for a full refund". We repeat this in your confirmation email. Our refund policy gives a full refund on any first payment and any yearly renewal requested within 14 days. We email a reminder seven days before a yearly renewal.
We give at least 30 days' notice by email of a price change. The new price applies from your next renewal after that notice period. You can cancel before it takes effect.
If your trial or subscription ends
When an unpaid trial ends or your paid access runs out, your account becomes read-only. You can still open, read and export your boards, but cannot edit them. Paying again within 90 days restores access to your boards and pictures.
After 90 days without a paid plan, we delete the account and its boards and pictures. We email when the account lapses, then 30 days and seven days before deletion. Export everything from account settings before then if you want to keep a copy.
You can also delete your account from settings at any time, with one confirmation. This ends your subscription and removes your account, boards and pictures. We send a confirmation email. Backup retention and the billing records we must keep are explained in our privacy policy.
Your boards belong to you
You own your boards and pictures. You give Everstack only the permission needed to store, sync and back them up to provide Sableley. We never sell them, use them to train anything, or show them to other customers or the public.
A person at Everstack reads your boards only with your written permission to fix a support problem, or where the law requires it. Software processes them as part of normal service, including syncing, merging, backups and removing pictures no board uses.
Export everything in account settings is available from your first day. It gives you an archive of every board file and picture. You can also export individual boards.
The connected repo
Sableley Pro can keep a copy of your boards and pictures in a Git repo you own, and bring edits from that repo back into Sableley. An agent can read and write your boards there. The connected repo is a copy; Sableley's hosted store is what runs the service.
You control your repo, its access and what you or your tools do with it. Disconnecting, downgrading or deleting your account leaves that repo untouched. Sync to the repo stops if your account lapses. Copies and history you keep there are yours to manage and delete.
Using the software
We license Sableley for your individual use for personal or business purposes on your own devices, including installing it from your browser. Your account is for you alone, not a shared team account. You may not copy the software beyond that use, alter it, redistribute it, or run it elsewhere, except where the law gives you a right we cannot restrict. This restriction is on our software, not on your boards or exported files.
Do not store illegal content or attack, disrupt or try to gain unauthorised access to the service or another account. We may suspend an account for illegal content or attacks on the service. Export remains available unless the content itself is illegal.
Availability and responsibility
We do not promise uninterrupted service or a particular uptime. Our normal practice is to make nightly backups, but backups are not a guarantee against loss. Keep exports or your own connected repo copies of work you cannot afford to lose.
If you use Sableley for business, you are responsible for keeping up-to-date copies of your boards and pictures outside Sableley, using a connected repo, your own backups, or both. You must not rely on Sableley's backups as your only copy. Export everything is available on both plans; a connected repo is available on Pro.
You can work offline with boards already on your device. Sableley needs to reach the server at least once every 30 days to keep editing. iOS is supported in Safari and is not yet tuned.
To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for business losses arising from your use of Sableley or its unavailability, including lost profits, revenue, business opportunities or goodwill, business interruption, or loss of business data.
To the extent the law allows, our total liability is limited to the fees you paid us in the preceding twelve months. Neither this cap nor the business-loss exclusion limits liability that cannot legally be limited, including fraud or death or personal injury caused by negligence, or takes away your statutory consumer rights.
If we close Sableley, we will give 90 days' notice by email and keep export everything available throughout that period.
Agreement, changes and the law
At sign-up, Clerk's required tickbox records your acceptance of these terms and the privacy policy. Stripe Checkout records terms consent again when you choose a paid plan.
We email material changes to these terms or our policies at least 30 days before they take effect. Continuing to use Sableley after that date accepts the changes. You may cancel before then.
English law applies. If you are a consumer elsewhere, you keep the mandatory protections and rights available where you live.
Support and complaints
Email support@sableley.com for help, refund requests, privacy requests or complaints. We aim to reply within two working days, on a best-effort basis. Support is by email only; we do not offer chat or phone support.
